One down, one to go!

After the wildly fun first Phillips Backyard music festival, there’s still one more weekend left to make the most out of summer—‘Reverb’.

Although the first Phillips festival of this summer, ‘Tilt’, was legendary, somehow the brewery managed to outdo themselves with Reverb’s lineup, bringing in some of the biggest acts from across Canada and around the world.

And in case you missed the first Backyard festival, you’re in luck—we’re giving away a pair of weekend passes to ‘Reverb’, and you’ll find those contest details below!

The first day, Friday, August 9th, will have the renowned Black Pumas take the backyard’s stage. Best known for their hugely popular song “Colors” and their mix of R&B and soul, they were supposed to play Rifflandia in 2022, but went on hiatus shortly before the festival.

Now the Black Pumas are making a triumphant return to touring and will not be one to miss at the Reverb kickoff.

Local legends Current Swell, Trophy Dad, Surf Hat and the Bankes Brothers will also be performing day one of Reverb.

Day two will see one of the best rappers in the game, Earl Sweatshirt hit the stage. He is known to be one of the best rappers of his time, and even Kendrick Lamar has gone on record saying so.

The hip-hop glory doesn’t stop there though—also performing on the Saturday is Cautious Clay, Jungle Bobby as well as Victoria’s own Astrocolor and TK The Artist.

Lastly, international juggernauts Jungle will be the headliner on day three. They are used to headlining massive venues, playing to tens of thousands of fans, and will be bringing that same energy to Phillips in less than three weeks.

On the tour Jungle is currently embarking on, the Phillips Backyard is the most intimate—giving those in attendance an unparalleled experience.

Sunday will be a day for dancing with Chicago’s own Drama playing their brand of happy sad bops and DJ Murge, along with beloved locals Nicky Mackenzie and Posh Coat opening the show.

For a little taste of the possibilities Reverb could bring, check out this video of Tilt headliners Noah Cyrus and Orville Peck performing a duet of their new collaboration, “How Far Will They Take It”.

In addition to all the amazing musicians on this stacked lineup, the backyard will see some upgrades to help everyone in attendance have the best time they can.

At Reverb, there will be a larger variety of food trucks, more games, more shaded areas, more areas to sit, more seating available, more games to play and more activation.

Tickets are still available, and you can grab yours online.
