The summer is just heating up, and another big event is set to return.
Colwood’s Eats & Beats Beach Party returns to The Beachlands on Saturday, July 27th!
The Beachlands is a fabulous seaside park just a stone’s throw south of the Lagoon Beach in Colwood.
This weekend, there will be live music all day, a food truck festival where you can sample flavours from around the world, beachside beverages served by the Victoria Beer Society, and tons of fun by the ocean.
The Eats & Beats event area at The Beachlands features a grassy lawn area, a playground, beach volleyball courts, a sandy play area, and easy access to the beach and ocean.
Dance the day away to The Soul Shakers, Silvertone, The Temps, Heist, and Sugar the Band, with dance lessons between sets provided by The Beat Dance Studio.
Sample international flavours at the Eats & Beats food festival, featuring Greek, Venezuelan, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Filipino, French Canadian, and more! Enjoy offerings from Deadbeetz Burgers, Greek on the Street, Big Boss Tacos, and many others.
While you’re enjoying the eats and beats, take part in free activities like the Bungee Run, beach games, bucket pong, henna tattoos by Karelia Sunflower Designs, or grab an Eats & Beats t-shirt from Strong n Free.
How to get to the Beachlands
To manage traffic, there will be shuttle buses available, bike valet parking, and free parking a short distance from the event.
For shuttle service, park at Royal Bay Secondary School or the lot below Quality Foods and catch one of the shuttles that will be running all day.
If you’re bussing to the event, take the following BC Transit routes #50, #52, #53, or #61.
Cyclist can use the free Capital Bike Valet for secure bike parking. The Galloping Goose Regional Trail runs through Colwood—exit and cruise downhill to The Beachlands.
