There’s a FREE nature challenge returning to Vancouver Island and you can be a part of it

(CRD)

Nature lovers, this one’s for you!

From April 25th to 28th the Greater Victoria area is joining over 700 cities worldwide for the City Nature Challenge—a fun, four-day biodiversity blitz.

This is your chance to explore your backyard, local parks, or favourite beaches while helping scientists and local governments document the plants wildlife that surround us.

Using the free iNaturalist app or website, participants are asked to photograph and log sightings of native plants, animals, fungi, insects—even tracks or scat! Every observation counts and contributes to global biodiversity data.
