The Christmas season is just around the corner, and Santa’s Forest is making its much-anticipated return to Braefoot Park in Saanich!
Starting Saturday, November 23rd, this long-standing holiday tradition will once again provide fresh, high-quality Christmas trees perfect for bringing holiday cheer into homes across the region.
Thanks to a year of excellent growing conditions—rainfall paired with a hot summer—this year’s trees boast vibrant colours, lush density, and beautiful shapes. Harvested and freshly cut just before opening day, the trees promise to be as fresh as ever, setting the stage for a magical holiday season.
For Kim Frocklage, owner of Santa’s Forest, this isn’t just about selling trees—it’s about creating memories. “I have been doing this for 29 years! I believe every tradition begins with a great Christmas tree. This is what I had as a kid growing up, and I want families and kids to have the same memorable experiences,” Frocklage shared.
“Our lives can be busy and hectic, but these are the times when it matters most!”
The return to Braefoot Park, near the Saanich Recreation Centre, brings a blend of nostalgia and new energy to this cherished tradition.
“Family traditions and the holidays begin with a great tree,” organizers added. “It’s going to be like old times and new times, and we can’t wait to see everyone again!”
Frocklage says the average tree costs around $80 dollars and there will be multiple truck loads full of hand-picked trees.
Santa’s Forest caters to every holiday style, with a wide selection of fresh-cut farmed and natural trees to choose from.
In addition to trees, Santa’s Forest offers handcrafted mixed wreaths in various sizes to complete your holiday decorating.
Also, mark your calendars: Santa Claus will visit Santa’s Forest on December 14th from 3–6 p.m. Families can take photos with Santa, and part of the proceeds will be donated to the local food bank.
Santa’s Forest is about more than just trees—it’s about community. A portion of the proceeds will support the local food bank, Saanich Lacrosse, and soccer programs!
