Get ready to ring in the holiday season with the highly-anticipated 42nd Peninsula Co-op Santa Claus Parade!

Taking place on Saturday, November 30th, at 5 p.m., the parade will be a dazzling display of festive floats, cheerful performers, and a whole lot of holiday spirit—perfect for the whole family!

The parade will kick off at the corner of Government Street and Belleville Street, and make its way through downtown Victoria, following a route that heads north along Government Street, turns east on Humboldt Street, and continues up Douglas Street, dispersing at the Victoria Public Market.

For those planning to attend, road closures will begin at 3 p.m. to allow for marshalling, so be sure to plan ahead if you’re driving into the downtown area.

In the spirit of giving, the parade will again be supporting the Mustard Seed Street Church and Food Bank.

They’ll be accepting food donations and cash contributions during the event, helping those in need this holiday season. Make sure to stop by and drop off your donation while enjoying some festive cheer!

To warm up those chilly winter nights, the Mustard Seed will be handing out free hot chocolate at Douglas and Humboldt starting at 4:30 p.m.

Don’t miss out on this sweet treat, and consider making a donation while you’re there. For those unable to attend in person, donations can be made online.

This year, the Victoria Disability Resource Centre (VDRC) is offering a live audio description of the parade for those who are visually impaired.

The live audio feed will be available at the VDRC’s location on Government and Belleville Street, ensuring everyone can enjoy the festive magic.

After the parade, make your way to Centennial Square for an opportunity to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. They’ll be available for pictures by donation. It’s the perfect way to cap off an evening of fun and holiday cheer.

And the excitement doesn’t end with the parade!

The Downtown Victoria Business Association (DVBA) will also be kicking off their Lights of Wonder celebration on the same night, bringing the holiday lights to life in Centennial Square.

The square will be beautifully illuminated, making it the perfect spot for a family outing. So grab the kids, bundle up, and come enjoy the festive lights that will brighten up your evening!

Whether you’re a longtime Victoria resident or a newcomer to the city, the 42nd Peninsula Co-op Santa Claus Parade is the perfect way to start the holiday season with joy, generosity, and a sense of community.

We hope to see you there for this special event on Saturday, November 30th!
